Make the survey a defined deliverable
Ask what the measurement visit includes and whether you receive a rail drawing before production. Identify the start, corners, stops and upper parking position. A general curved-lift photograph cannot specify your staircase.
Know when the commitment changes
Ask which event starts manufacture and when design changes or cancellation affect the deposit. Clarify who is responsible if site conditions change after approval. Do not rely on a general delivery estimate as the contract for custom equipment.
Understand reconditioned components
If a curved lift is described as reconditioned, establish whether that means the chair, drive or rail. A previously installed rail is not automatically reusable in another Parkside property. Ask for written identification and warranty terms for new and reused components.
Keep the proposal comparable
- Exact equipment and a measured rail layout.
- Preparation, installation, demonstration and written terms.
- Servicing at the actual address, parts and removal responsibilities.
